The limitations of live video editing are very
frustrating. You can only confidently re-record the last sequence filmed and
then only after rewinding out of the water. Fortunately we can put our shots
together in a meaningful sequence later by assemble
editing.
Assemble
editing involves copying the good shots one by one onto another tape
recorder (usually a standard domestic VHS player). Assemble editing is how
professional filmmakers work. It's not cheating!
