Different color sea fans. Taken at a depth of about 40ft on a recent trip to Raja Ampat during Xmas 2024. Taken by a friend using an Olympus OM-D with 2 strobes.

The colors of many Chromodorididae nudis are always striking and these species of Goniobranchus called kuniei is no exception.There are delicate nuances of complementary shades that help make it one of a kind_Jan 2025

Adult escorts are usually but not always related to the calf. An Aunt, sister, cousin, grandmother, or even its mother. They all look after the new one. (taken under permit)

Bumphead parrotfish. Very cool fish but difficult to photograph away from the reef.

Ixus 980 with fisheye lens. mwb.
Quite tricky to get the exposure right with this one. I was using a program only camera and to bend it to my will I used Spot Metering and exposure lock, useful when you have an impatient buddy and only one chance to get it right.
We were lucky enough to have these dolphins hanging around for around 40 mins cavorting and teasing us, a blissful day.

I've always liked the way goat fish use their barbels to find prey. This one had his permanently out as if he was resting his head on them and let me come in unusually close.

This 'Twin Chromodoris' was spotted at 38m on Mashraba dive site in Dahab.
