Rotation.
On the Attack! This Flamboyant Cuttlefish was found on a dusk dive and walked hovered and swam over the bottom hunting for nearly 25 minutes with us. They really do display some vivid colors.
Relax time
Standing out in a Crowd! There always has to be one part of a subject that doesn't quite fit the norm. In this case one of several hundred jacks in a large bait ball was going the opposite direction.
sea cucumber crab
Leopard Bleeny
spirals
A bright smiling face! Nudibranch perched on ledge just about crawled out of focus. But left me with a smiling face just before exiting!
Very Little but Pretty !
Very difficult shot, because very very little , and with my canon G12 and 2 macro lens ( + 6 and +8 ) is very crazy the exactly maf!
Blueringed Octopus in full flow. A master of deception and hydrodynamics.
alien? :-)
A beautiful clear day and some willing subjects made for some close focus wide angle practice.
Imperator shrimp hiding in the coat of a giant nudibranch
Blackedged Angelfish @56m
Straight out of the camera
Jelly on Oiled Canvas. This Jellyfish was just below the surface with slightly choppy water. This allowed the rock face from above to be reflected by the surface giving it the oiled look. Taken with a Canon T2I, tokina 10-17mm in a Aquatica Housing.
Life on a Cucumber! It is amazing what you can find if you don't leave any rock un turned or cucumber as well.
Shoot to Thrill
shortlistedShortlisted!
very beatiful Giant frogfish, night Dive
Goby in the night
UnNatural Colour! The colours and shapes under the sea are amazing. This Hot Pink Frogfish sure stood out when moving but blended in almost perfectly in the sponges. So strange to see an ambush hunter hidingout with such a loud outfit:)
Silver sweetlips juvenile.
This fish was less than 1 inch and it's a very moving subject, always darting around.
Snowflake Moray
I have seen and used alot of showers but seeing this Blenny using a shower head as a home was a first. We were amazed at how the fish used everything to hide in.
