sensual underwater photo - I don't say that often!
Out on the FAD.
5 miles out, 3 miles of water beneath.... Fish aggregating device
Scorpionfish are always fun to shoot. With a high aperture I was able to darken the background. Hope you enjoy.
A Sea Hare on an old, fallen sea fan. Nikon 105 with SubSee 5X, full frame.
Bristleworm. Never encountered one before this dive, then saw two. This one was far better at posing.
Spotted cleaner shrimp.
Frog Fish at Angel City, Bonaire. Canon 95S, Ikelite housing and AF 35 strobe
The view on 7 mile beach, apres dive, Grand Cayman.
"After the Storm"
The view of sunset during our dinner after a day of diving. Hand-held panorama with my daughter's pocket camera. This one had them lined up at the rails in the restaurant taking photos.
The Diver and the Wreck, St. Thomas.
Evelio at Hilma Hooker, Bonaire.
shortlistedShortlisted!
A common enough subject, but the background caught my eye.
Lobster eye, up close and personal.
bull shark dive
Eduardo exploring at Wit Shoal wreck, St. Thomas.
Cling-fish on a gorgonian. 4 mm or less in length. Nikon 105 with Subsee 5X. 1/250; f22. Thanks to Katie, with Indigo Divers, for teaching me how to find this great little subject while I learn to use my 5x.
It's pretty difficult to orient yourself to blend in to a gorgonian.
Bristleworm. Nikon 105 mm with Subsee 5X.
Hydroid with Nikon 105 and Subsee 5X. Nearly bit through my reg while trying to get this shot while hovering on the wall.
Spotted cleaner shrimp in an anemone. Nikon 105 mm with Subsee 5X.
3+1
Sunset clouds over the water in Cozumel Mexico.
Diver and reef
Diver entering the cave at Pointe Guignard
Juvenile decorator crab. 1/125; f32; Nikon 105 and Subsee 5X. The adults of this species are covered with so much growth, they are hard to even recognize. Who knew such a beautiful, colorful creature was under that stuff?
Not a bad end to a great day of diving in the Cayman Islands.
Sunset in Cozumel Mexico. Sigma telephoto 80-125mm Canon Rebel XD
