These 2 Flying Gurnards were so enthralled with each other as they swam around in circles, they seemed to not notice my approach. I slowly descended to the sandy bottom and just laid there taking their photo and watching their behavior.
This humongous Eagle Ray passed by me while I was conducting a reef evaluation for a local NGO at Uvero Reefs, Quintana Roo. She was about 2m wide, the biggest I´ve ever seen!

This was a sea horse swiming over a sandy area and he stops on a lost anchor. The camera. Olympus SP-560UZ, strobe: Ikelite 400; Picture F/5.6, 1/40 sec.. The shot was taken at Chichiriviche de la Costa, north central shores of Venezuela.

This image of an Erect Rope Sponge was taken last week off West Palm Beach. I wish the US Government would take note of the beauty that lies off this coast and quit destroying the reefs of S. Florida. Another hotel is not needed.
