My Pal & Buddy Sven during an ice dive. We were diving with Mr. Freshwaterunderwaterphotographer, Michel. Great fun for a great dive. It's said that Svens reg, which was actually Mitchs, froze and went on free flow... for further details ask Sven :-)

Close look at a wels catfish (silurus glanis)! The most impressive fish of our cold waters :-))
Three-spined stickleback, (Gasterosteus aculeatus) to me , due to it's behaviour this cute little fish gives to our waters a nice tropical atmosphere , anyway the water was still 4-5°c... Thank you Michel for this nice dive.
A huge Wels Catfish in the Aare River
End of the day diving - today - just before night fall.... Having fun "under the ice"... Just beautiful... :O)...
Hydras are small fresh water predatory, from 1 mm to 20 mm. To biologists they are of interest because they appear to age slowly if at all, and also for their regenerative ability.
A Water Mite, (Hydracarina) about 2mm monster living in freshwater. They use their mandibles to pierce the skin of the prey and suck out its juices.
The Eye of a Fresh Water Eel... :O)...
Green waters winter atmosphere. Geneva’s Lake
European Bullhead, cottus gobio
"Master Pike Fish" in his lake... :O) ...
Resting on the lake floor, an European bullhead, Cottus gobio
Pike's caudal fin (cropped a little)
Rendez-vous with THE Pike :-)
Close look at a bream - the same as last dive - covered with blood suckers :-(
The Eye of a Tench... :O) ...
