Smaller subjects typically 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 7.5cm) shot on macro settings or with macro equipment that are NOT MOVING usually on the bottom (i.e. between 1:1 and 1:3)

Lettuce Leaf Slug
Hiding clown fish, taken on Canon 40D with 100mm macro lenses. Lembeh Straits
Parrot fish was just settling down for the night, and so not wanting to unduly disturb this sleepy fellow, I grabbed a quick shot and departed.
These common pipefish usually turn away when you get close enough to take a shot but this one was quite inquisitive smile Canon G10 + UCL 165

My strobe had flooded so I lit this with the focussing light I normally use to provide light for the compact camera to see properly.

Horozbina. A 5 cm small buddy, who is usually extremly "nervous" and therefore difficult to shoot. If you are looking close enough, there are even in the mediterranean nice motives to find ;-)
