Different color sea fans. Taken at a depth of about 40ft on a recent trip to Raja Ampat during Xmas 2024. Taken by a friend using an Olympus OM-D with 2 strobes.

Adult escorts are usually but not always related to the calf. An Aunt, sister, cousin, grandmother, or even its mother. They all look after the new one. (taken under permit)

One of my shots from my first liveaboard trip with a camera. There were a lot of cuttlefish on this trip and I especially like the colours on this shot.

Spotted Box Fish. Usually very shy, this spotted box fish was near a coral head in about 25 feet of water and seemed well disposed to a few photos before ducking into a cavern.
This little threespot dascyllus (dascyllus trimaculatus), at the Wakatobi Marine Preserve in Indonesia was a ham, as she swam in front of my camera and posed for several minutes.

I played a game of hide and seek to get this shot. It's a blow to the ego to be outsmarted so many times by an animal smaller than your hand.

Why the long face? It is a new year Fuji S5 pro/105 VR
Arrow Blenny (Lucayablennius zingaro) on the hunt in the Cayman Islands. It's fun to watch the little fellows darting out to spear larval shrimp or other tiny morsels of food. Length about 3 cm.
