Sad face sponge by the wall in Northside of Cayman
This starfish resting on a rock in the shallow waters of Blue Heron Bridge.

Lizard fish. Usually they're pretty well camouflaged but this guy seemed really content on this coral. He let me take several photos and never moved.
Blenny and Christmas Trees
The sky is the limit. Coral reaches dramatically towards the surface.
Sealife DC600 with redfilter. postprocessing with photoshop.
had no dive gear for this one, but as 'Singray City' is only in 4 foot of water had a friend stand on my back to hold me underwater and still whilst I held my breath for the pic
This French Angelfish was very curious about what I was doing and swam with me for quite a while.

Always fun to paint with light....especially on a almost "overshooted" wreck such as the Kittiwake ! B/W works great here...and I liked the light & simple structure of that ladder. Congrats, Leena :-)

Sea Horse, Close-Up
In Devil's grotto Horse-eye Jacks
An inquisitive Blenny coming out of his hole to check me out. His little "antennas" were bending in the moderate current.
We followed this little guy for a good 5 minutes, and the best photo was as we let him swim away.

Octopus shot from a night dive.
Tok 10-17, Canon T2i @ Lost Wall of East End, Grand Cayman
This was taken on my first night dive. It looks like an anemone but I'm not sure it is. I've never seen one during the day. It retracted into a tube like christmas tree worm if disturbed. They are very pretty.
Froggy
Taken at Stingray Sandbar in the early morning hours. Tok 10-17; Canon T2i; natural light.
ZEN
My favourite place at dawn. The famous Sandbar (close to Stingray City) in Grand Cayman. We don't feed the Stingrays (we go before the feedings starts). This makes them at ease, like it eases us. They choose to hang around, look, play, rest!

Blue Angelfish swimming out in the blue, hiding before for current and surge

I did my first night dive with a camera this evening. I was surprised to find that I actually got a few pleasing shots. This was the first octopus I've encountered as well.
Three of a kind beats a full house. Squat anemone shrimp

The first time I saw one of these it surprised me. I was changing a camera setting and when I looked up it was inches from my face and closing. I had to push it away from me. This was after seeing a YouTube video of one tearing a guy's thumb off.
