Smaller subjects typically 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 7.5cm) shot on macro settings or with macro equipment that are NOT MOVING usually on the bottom (i.e. between 1:1 and 1:3)
I had a similar entry earlier, but I had a feeling this one had a better DOF and Bokeh, I tried to improved my previous image with advise from friends here and I think I had done a better image. Happy New Year everyone, have a safe and fun diving....
Tiny Orangutan Crab on Bubble Anemone, Nikonos V 1:2 Macro extension tube, Ikelight 50 strobe. Atlantis resort.
She is under the rather large anemone just hanging out. She kept peeking out to see if I was still there. Later, a juvenile false clown fish came out from behind her to see what was going on. It turned out, she was just protecting her young.

I find this ghost pipefish during the night dive near the entrance of swim though and I took this photo from inside the swim through!!! It was great dive!

This image of the polyps on a Gorgonian was taken during a dive on the Sea Viking yesterday while diving with Stuart Cove's in Nassau.

unusual angle as depth of field is limited for macro - but still sharp so well done Daniel
Hawkfish on Saipan
This tricky little grunt sculpin kept swimming away right before the picture was taken. It took about 10 minutes and probably about 30 pictures to get this one. Taken with a Canon SD550 7.1 MP point-and-shoot camera using the internal flash.
