Simon Mittag | Simon is an avid underwater photographer and marine life enthusiast from Sydney, Australia. Born and bred in Germany, he picked up scuba diving and underwater photography after moving down under in 2002 and has never looked back.
You can usually find him in the water on the weekends on one of Sydney’s dive boats, shooting his housed Nikon D300 “WALL-E”, in Chowder Bay, or if he’s lucky over a long weekend at the Barrier Reef.
Simon is a qualified PADI Digital Underwater Photography Specialty Instructor who enjoys working with students on any type of underwater photography, including post processing images using Adobe Photoshop and Apple’s Aperture 3.
Clocking 250 dives on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, in Thailand, Sulawesi, Indonesia and French Polynesia his favourite dive sites are the wreck of the SS Yongala near Townsville, Steve’s Bommie on Ribbon Reef #10, Tupitipiti Pass on the southern end of Bora Bora, and Roma in Wakatobi. | My Website

Katherine McKelvey | I normally use a Canon PowerShot SD550 with a slave Ikelite strobe, and a wide angle lens. I've taken pictures underwater for about 4 years. I have enjoyed many wonderful diving sites and seem to always be able to find something worth photographing. Fiji is beautiful, Truk Lagoon is awe inspiring. | | United States

Victoria Mackenzie | I have been a u/w photographer for less than a year. I try to get out and practice as much as i can but as i am a dive instructor, its not very often! I am hopefully getting the chance to be part of the u/w photography department within the company i work for in january, so fingers crossed!
I am using my new Canon G10, which i have had out a few times, but have just very recently moved onto using manual mode as opposed to programme mode. Its obviously a bit more complicated than just point and shoot, but so far so good!
Currently i am based on Ko Lanta in Thailand and my favourite photography site is Ko Haa. It has a beautiful shallow lagoon, perfect for white balanced shots, and beautiful crystal clear blue water in the deeper areas. It has caverns, chimneys and a wonderful array of marine life, i love it! | | Thailand
