Just south of the Rappel mooring,a shelf between the shore and the blue, in 25' we found this Marlin, 6’ sticking out of a small cave under an overhang, 6’ + and the spike are jammed in the hole. How did it get stuck, was it chasing food? suicide?

Taken a while ago, just found the pics. Giant leatherback returning to the sea after laying eggs. Estimated by Fisheries Dept to be around 900lbs.
I enjoy the closeness and curious Reef Sharks and I almost think they know what perfect models they make! This image was taken off Nassau in March 2012.
