I stumbled across this little beauty
while waiting for a photo op at a sea horse, needless to say if forgot the sea horse. Olympus housed stylus 410/ with Bonica strobe.
Town of Dominica....
My little Sharpnose Puffer stayed still just long enough for a good closeup.
Seahorse picture was taken off of Castle Comforts shore at a depth of only 25 feet. My camera is a Canon A95 and I only used the onboard flash.
I put together a collage of a Christmas tree worm unfurling. I hope everyone likes it =)

A dominica sunset from the south of the island.
This yellow fanworm can be found under rocks and ledges. About the size of a silver dollar.
Juv. Ballonfish, I love his almost crown of spines and the colour of his eyes. They always look like they belong in Japanese cartoons.
Do these count as flaring nostrils?
Anything you can see through is automatically cool in my book. Especially when its a shrimp...

This is a juvenile spotted drum. About the size of a 1/2 dollar coin. He just kept swimming in circles...

This is the best shot I could take of the Boiling Lake high in the mountains of Dominica. Short of chemophiles, I doubt there is much living in it.
