For those of you who have tried to shoot clownfish, you'll appreciate how many shots and trips it's taken me to finally get the shot I always wanted.
We got up early and were lucky enough to catch schooling bumphead parrotfish at the USS Liberty wreck, here making a turn around one of the deck guns.

These boxing crabs move around so fast, it took quite a few tries over a number of days to get this shot.
There is something about the eyes of peacock mantis shrimp that I just find facinating
This is a mototi blue ring octopus from a muck dive in Tulamben.
I'd never found a mantis shrimp this color before, and it was extremely cooperative as well.
This was my first time seeing this particular species of octopus, no snoot, though it almost looks snooted, just a single strobe trying to shoot with minimum strobe power to avoid stressing the octopus.
Would love to get help with an ID on this nudi. Looks similar to some of the dironidae that we have on the US west coast, but this was shot in Tulamben, Bali.
