Akule Bait Ball in Keauhou, Hi. This was taken on film with a nikonos V / 20mm sea&sea, while freediving (breath hold diving, no tanks). Depths up to 70ft.

Pelagic octopus, currently unidentified, but I believe it's a male Tremoctopus. Taken at night in the abyss, 3 miles off the Kona coast in Hawaii. Water depth below us was probably 6000 feet deep. It's holding two cnidarian tentacles for defense.
