here's how you shoot a jelly without the sun behind. Note the small fish in the tentacles.
I photographed this shark in Bora Bora in May 2004 with a digital Olympus 4040 in a Tetra housing. A DX90 strobe gave the bit of lighting on his face.
D-70 wih two strobes. On a shark feed dive in Fiji, this guy showed up on the way to the surface. Swam right in front of me and looked great.
Lionfish taken at Beqa Lagoon, Fiji. D-70 in Ikelite housing, two stobes with diffuser on 2nd strobe. It posed very nicely for me.

Unbelievable dive site ,you can't imagine what else was circling around us while i took this picture.
Attached to the ladder of the T&C Aggressor with my foot while taking shots of this Reef Shark just below the surface. He was incredibly curious as to what I was all about. The feeling was mutual! Rebel Digital/Aquatica/17mm/ambient light
This Mola Mola was quitely sunbathing near the reef walls on Crystal Bay in Bali, it only gives me a few seconds to take the photo before she noticed my presence and swim out to the open sea
Shaft. Derewan. MMIII. Dusk dive to get the sun shining through the jetty's supports and try to catch the resident snappers. Several dusk dives later ....
Maldives - Atollo di Ari - Nikonos III 15 mm
Friendly Ballan Wrasse at Fanore, Co. Clare, Ireland. Taken at 25m with a Motormarine II.
Anacapa Island, CA. Harbor seals dove up and down the lanes of kelp while we photographed them, chewing on our flippers when they got close enough. I waited for a pair to come down between the rows when this one popped up from below. 60mm lens.
Horseye Jacks - I love the surreal quality of this mostly blue shot which I converted to black and white in Photoshop. Roatan, Honduras, Nikonos V, 35mm lens.
Look at me!
Taken with Olympus E-20 in Titan housing with wide angle lense and two Sea&Sea YS-90 strobes in Egypt, Marsa Alam.

The Dingy is about 35 feet away. At this moment it might as well have been a mile.
On a trip to the Socorros, it seemed the mantas were delighted by the feeling of our bubbles, and came back to hover above us repeatedly. This manta, being cleaned by two clarion angelfish is really right on top of me. Nikonos RS and 13mm lens.
While kneeling in the sand, watching the Carbs & Reefs feed, this scared nurse hid under my shins. Feeding photo in ths contest also. 35 feet in the Bahamas. Reef Master 35mm

Bahamas without a cage in 35 feet of water. Check out the hook in the corner of his mouth. Reef Master 35mm
Bonaire 2004-I didn't want to disturb these gossiping neighbors.
Bonaire October 2004-This guy was merrily swimming next to me, dropping down to grab quick bites of coral.
OK...so it was a shark dive. I can dream though that I was swimming along the wall and met this Grey Reef shark cara a cara. (face to face, which is the name of the dive site)
Jellyfish Lake in Palau, Micronesia. Thousands of Mastigius Jellyfish inhabit this land-locked lake in Palau. Since they have no natural enemies, they've lost their ability to sting.
