THe Inside Reef at Lauderdale by the sea
Pelagic octopus, currently unidentified, but I believe it's a male Tremoctopus. Taken at night in the abyss, 3 miles off the Kona coast in Hawaii. Water depth below us was probably 6000 feet deep. It's holding two cnidarian tentacles for defense.

I like finding a place underwater and just waiting, you wait and things just start to appear, like this little lettuceleaf slug. Grand Caymen.
Watched this California Sea Otter dive repeatedly. He finally surfaced with a big juicy clam. Shot in the harbor at Moss Landing, California.

"Size Matters" During the full moons of the late summer and early fall, Goliath Groupers spawn off the shores of Jupiter, Florida. Here at a site called "The Warriors" the team leader is dwarfed by a passing grouper showing that size does matter!
