The Very Small! My Guide tells me that this is a Juvenile Scorpionfish. It would be around 4mm long. I could only see what he was pointing out to me through the camera. Canon 20D 100mm Macro + 500D (+2) diopter.

This looked like a PhotoShop zoom filter but no, it's on a shell and that shows how a background makes an ordinary subject special.

The angle of this picture makes it look like I was being smiled at. This is one of my favorite uw pictures I have ever taken as it looks as though the eel is genuinely happy to be photographed.
