Smaller subjects typically 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 7.5cm) shot on macro settings or with macro equipment that are in MID WATER not touching anything (i.e. between 1:1 and 1:3)
This Fire Dartfish was one of the most colorful of the small fish we saw in Fiji.
They call him the "False Percula Clown (Amphiprion ocellaris)". I say he'll do till the real thing comes along!

Free swimming Weedy Pygmy Seahorse. I found small colonies of these guys in both Fiji and Solomon Is. last year. Neither of the boats I was on had seen them before, which was pretty exciting. Getting this free swimming shot was a nightmare!

I followed this small octopus for a wile and it changed its shape and colour many times. When it swans to the water column it turned in to this interesting shape!
