This picture was taken in a black marble mine in belgium, called “anhée”. 
Due to not having any daylight, we have to add atrificial lights. So you see 2 big blue video lights installed. 
Shot taken on an iphone 15 with a divevolk housing.

Thuridilla hopei. Often mistaken for a nudibranch, it is a sacoglossal opisthobranch without dorsal appendages. It can only be spotted with a keen eye, on the rocky seabed a few meters deep. Rarely exceeds 2cm in length.

I'd love to tell you I planned this shot but I got lucky. However you make your own luck and I sat in front of this ribbon eels hole for ages just shooting as it came into focus. Bit of vignette added in Lightroom and a boost to levels.

This is one of the first photographs where I planned the shot before taking it. I side lit the rhinopias with TTL on one strobe and set the other strobe to 1/8 and put it above the subject.

This little threespot dascyllus (dascyllus trimaculatus), at the Wakatobi Marine Preserve in Indonesia was a ham, as she swam in front of my camera and posed for several minutes.

this was taken in Lembeh straights Dec 30th 2008 and is prime example of the amazing fish life in this area
