Thuridilla hopei. Often mistaken for a nudibranch, it is a sacoglossal opisthobranch without dorsal appendages. It can only be spotted with a keen eye, on the rocky seabed a few meters deep. Rarely exceeds 2cm in length.

a lizardfish eating a fingered dragonet--I don't think the dragonet survived......
Anemone fish at Tulamben, Bali. This was my first dive trip with my new Canon G9/Ikelite housing/Ikelite DS160 Strobe.
The funny face looks like Dori of the film Nemo. It is a Xyrichtys pentadactylus taken with a Nikon D300, 105mm. So it's definitely not Dori, but the face looks like it.
An Englishman Abroad - Mr H at a rainy KBR, one year ago.
Happy New Year folks.

Resident moray at Seraya

I really used a shallow depth of field here to accentuate the teeth. It's amazing how they have a row of teeth in the roof of the mouth. Wouldn't want to be a fish stuck in there!
Cuttlefish egg - even in the egg you can see that it has colour change cells activated, albeit only white for the moment!
Whoaa, that's one ugly photographer! Wakatobi, South East Sulawesi. Canon 40D & Canon 100 macro.
Humphead parrotfish. Picture taken in North-east Bali.
The crab with its eggs

Tough to get a shot of these guys feeding but when they do I think it looks spectacular. Like little fishermen casting their nets. Shot with two strobes, next time I'm going to try side lighting to give some more depth.
Abstract. Picture taken in North-east Bali.

Cockatoo waspfish portrait - Ablabys taenionotus. looking more like a floating leaf than anything else. D300, 60mm Macro
