Different color sea fans. Taken at a depth of about 40ft on a recent trip to Raja Ampat during Xmas 2024. Taken by a friend using an Olympus OM-D with 2 strobes.

Adult escorts are usually but not always related to the calf. An Aunt, sister, cousin, grandmother, or even its mother. They all look after the new one. (taken under permit)

I love the emphasis on features by the strobe lighting. Croc fish usually look so bland (it's their job to blend in) so creating texture is the challenge
