2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire. This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away. Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

Aliens Everywhere! During the summer we get large congrigations of Moon Jellies. These groupings only last a couple weeks and sometimes we can see thousands during the course of a dive.
A tongue of flame! This Opalescent Nudibranch was just coming up from a 100ft wall climb and paused for a rest before continuing on looking for a mate or meal!
Runaway Red Octopus! This lovely little Pacific Red Octopus had enough of the lime light and decided to speed off. I really enjoy the blurr of following it while swimming. It only went 15-20ft then settled down again!
On a recent dive just off Vancouver Island we ran into a school of 12-15 Spiny Dogfish Sharks. They were standoffish at first then this 5-6 footer swam up for a closer look and I managed to get this close up from only a couple 4-5ft away! Enjoy!
longfin gunnel hanging out for a photo op!
The Spotted Ratfish comes into shallow waters in the summer to mate and if you are lucky they will pause to check themselves out in your port!
Just snorkeling along slowly looking around and this fellow came up to investigate. Taken with a Pentax Optio W60
