Tube Worm-Bispira sp. *Sabellidae* It is hard to associate this beautiful flower-like specimen with a worm! I took this picture with a Canon A650IS in macro mode in the location of Badian Island, Cebu.

My dive buddy dropping in to meet me. I used my Canon A650IS in wide angle mode in ambient light. Sometimes it can be more interesting waiting for your dive buddy slightly below the surface.

There are so many different colorful corals, that I would have to name this, The Coral Garden. The juvenile Barraccuda are friendly visitors. Canon A650IS used in Bohol Sea during my first week of underwater photography.

Leaf Scorpion Fish. Canon G10
Colorful Caribbean Fish. Canon G10
I took the picture of the conch coming out of its shell at the reef by Roatan. Used Photoshop to give some contrast for its background. Canon G10
A beautiful creature that I enjoyed taking close photos of. Black Tip Reef Shark with a Remora pal. Canon G10
Slowly moved towards Yellow Head Jawfish before it retracted into its territorial bunker. Canon G10. Roatan, Honduras.
YIN YANG. I shot sequences of these two independently moving closely together, and shot the final picture of them snuggling in a yin yang position. Canon G10, Sea&Sea YS-25
THINGS TO DO ON A SAFETY STOP AT CORAL GARDEN, CEBU. CANON G10
Picture perfect Scleractinia Coral. Intact representative of the Stony Corals. Taken with Canon A650IS, ambient light, around Badian Island, Cebu.
"Crinoid on Coral" Canon A650IS with macro zoom. Taken in the lovely area of Badian Island, Cebu.
Ambient light shines down on coral & fish. Canon A650IS, no flash or filters. Moalboal, Cebu.
"Twisted Outlook". I am not sure if this Green Moray Eel just swallowed a sour fish or its mouth was deformed from birth or battle. Canon A650IS with macro and ambient light.
"Crown of Thorns"Sea Star. These are definitely not a friend to an underwater photographer. Their thorns can penetrate about anything. Ambient light source with Canon A650IS around the area of Anda, Bohol.
"Spotfin Lionfish". The dark spots on its pectoral fins are quite impressive. Taken with Canon A650IS near Badian Island, Cebu. I tend to keep a bit of distance from these fish, in respect for their poisonous defense!
"Blue Seastar Amongst Bohol Coral Garden". I have never seen such beautiful color & composition of coral anywhere. Taken with Canon A650IS & ambient light.
This Scorpionfish is a colorful example of the surrounding corals it inhabits.. Used Canon A650IS.
This Hawksbill turtle was not timid when it came to food. It didn't stop eating when I was 5 feet away. Taken in Similan Islands, Thailand with Canon A650IS.
"Peacefully Gliding Green Sea Turtle" Pescador Island, Cebu.
Tube Worm-Bispira sp. *Sabellidae* It is hard to associate this beautiful flower-like specimen with a worm! I took this picture with a Canon A650IS in macro mode in the location of Badian Island, Cebu.
"Who's Posing For Who" I never did get to see the picture that this photographer was taking of my dive buddy & me. Taken with Canon A650IS with just the sunlight making its way down to us around 20 meters close to the Cathedral.
"Brilliant Blue Sponge". Natural color of sponge at deeper depths of 15 meters, with darker water for contrast. Used Canon A650IS with internal flash.
"Christmas Tree Worms". Taken with Canon A650IS in macro mode at Pescador Island.
"Pincushion Starfish"-This was my first view of a starfish without arms. It was located at Pescador Island on a coral reef ridge, about 7 meters in depth. I used my Canon A650IS in ambient light only.
Waiting for an anemone fish to stop long enough to pose is quite a challenge. This Tomato Anemonefish stayed closely inside its host anemone, "Entacmaea quadricolor". I took this shot with a Canon A650IS and used its internal flash.
When I saw a group of these, I thought I was going to be a pearl millionaire. But after closely examining it, the first touch was very soft. Not a pearl...but an algae ball. I took this at "Pescador Island" with a Canon A650IS.
"Gliding Through The Spectrums of Color" I used my Canon A650IS with the original picture. Then I manipulated the image with posterization in Photoshop.
"Oriental Sweetlips". This flashy fish has a little shadow fish behind it. Canon A650IS, Similan Island #6, Thailand.
"Camoflauged anemone fish,"Amphiprion perideraion." I spent at least 5 minutes maintaining neutral buoyancy waiting for this fish to appear for a picture. The Heteractis magnifica anemone was a great safe camoflauge. Used Canon A650IS & no flash.
