A rosy sunstar taken in the Pacific NW off Vancouver Island with a Bonica Multi Snapper & Neon Slave Strobe. I haven't figured out why but this is one of my favorite pictures of the trip.

Wolf Eels (not really eels) are facinating to observe. They can get into the smallest crevises that look as if they couldn't get their head into it. I also can't imagine chomping into an urchin like they do. Pic taken off Vancouver Isl. with Bonica.

Everyone, heads down!! It was great to get a pic of a Yellow Eyed Rock fish. It was even neater to get this pic where the fish, cucumber and starfish look like they were in a line up. Taken with a Bonica Multi Snapper & Neon slave strobe in B.C. wate

Diving in the Pacific northwest, you often see this smile from between rocks or in crevasses. They will often shut tight before you can take their pic due to the multitude of eyes that rim their mouth (see the bright dots on the orange lips).

This Red Urchin was one of many large ones on a boulder in Alder Bay British Columbia. What attracted me was how they were extending their tube feet in between their spines. Pic taken with a Bonica Multi Snapper & Neon Slave Strobe.

This Red Irish Lord is another common photo subject in the Pacific NW because of it's colouration and insistance on staying still in one spot. They just DON'T move. Pic taken with Bonica MultiShot and Neon Strobe out of Port Hardy BC.

I find the varied beauty of these stinging creatures fasinating. The variety of anemonies off the north end of Vancouver Island offers many photo ops. This picture was taken with a Bonica Multi Snapper and Neon Slave Strobe.

This octopus attracted my attention as I swam by the crevass it was in because it was waving it's arms around. Octopus are one of my favourite underwater creatures. I took the slave strobe I use with my Bonica camera off the arm and held it free hand

These 'glass' sponges are the sight to be seen when you are deep at Mermaid Bay along the Sunshine Coast. In vertually every one you will find another critter making it's home. This is a Goblet Sponge picture taken with a Bonica camera and strobe.

Blood stars are often in unique positions. This one looked to me as though he was saying 'I give up! Don't shoot!' to the Northern Feather Duster Worm in the forground. This picture was taken with a Bonica camera & strobe in the Port Hardy area of BC

I noticed the huge orange peal nudibranch at first and was going to show it's size in comparison to my husband's flipper when I noticed the small nudibranch it was motoring towards. I loved how this picture showed the two extremes of these animals.
