After a full day of burning through film out at the Sea Lion colony on Santa Barbara Island I felt that I should try something a little different. This inquisitive female posed for me at just the right time to make this half and half shot work.

I came across this cluster of little anemones on Wilson’s Rock just off shore of San Miguel Island; each anemone is only the size of a half dollar.

An over/under that works even though there is nothing 'over'
I came across this cluster of little anemones on Wilson’s Rock just off shore of San Miguel Island; each anemone is only the size of a half dollar.
