2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire.  This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away.  Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

Oceanic White Tip Fin with Pilot Fish
This school of silky sharks stuck around roca partida for at least three weeks. They came from the blue again and again. The school seemed to be largest in the mornings.
A lucky diver gets some one on one time with this oceanic white tip.
An inquisitive blue shark (Prionace glauca), off the coast of Rhode Island, and he brought a couple of little friends too. Nikon D300 in Aquatica, Nikkor 10.5mm fisheye, Sea & Sea YS90 strobes.

When life gives you lemons, you hope for a few that will pose like this one (Negaprion brevirostris).... Nikon D300 in Aquatica, Nikkor 12-24mm, Sea & Sea YS90 strobes.

Tiger Sharks are amazing !!! Tigers move very slow and calculated, lots of power and very curious.....one of my favorites!
Big Smile/ Big Lemon Shark saying hello to me in the Bahamas. The photo was taken with a Canon 7D with Tokina 10-17 with a Nauticam housing and a 4 inch dome and the new D-1 strobes form Sea & Sea.

One Reef Shark that tried to cooperate with my shooting of flybys as I set below the reef. This image was taken at one of my favorites Ginormous off the Bahamas Banks.
"After Midnite" These Lemon Sharks are amazing to dive with at night! They have a keen sense of smell and keep their heads near the sandy bottom. Tiger Beach - Bahamas
We were "blue water hunting", looking for things in blue water. It only took these silky sharks a few minutes to show up. More and more accumulated and in the end we had close to 200 hundred silkies. It was impossible to fit them all in the frame.

I enjoy the closeness and curious Reef Sharks and I almost think they know what perfect models they make! This image was taken off Nassau in March 2012.
Always sharks on the shallow reefs of the Bahamas. These two Reef Sharks separate from the other 20 which are patrolling the reef with a scent of chum in the water.
