2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire. This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away. Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

Carribean Reef Shark beneath boat at Runway New Providence, Nassau, Bahamas
Eating. Taken with Olympus E-20 in Titan housing and two Sea&Sea YS-90DX strobes.
This shark was swimming towards me very slowly, apparently not willing to stretch a muscle to avoid me, so I descended just a little to let him glide past above me, being a little anxious of how he would react to my flash. Nik V. 15mm
Chico, the hungry moray
Tarpon check out the divers
I shot this in the cold waters of Northern California while free diving in open water.
Taken at Dyer Island, South Africa, which is Great White Shark territory. Because of the thousands of seals around, it was difficult getting a shot of just one by itself.

I bet Johannes had one eye over his shoulder taking this!
DOLPHINS at Dolphin Reef, Red Sea. I was snorkling when this group came swimming in my direction just a few metres below me. I had just a few seconds to compose my shot. They were so fast, any attempt to go after them would have been futile.

Underwater shots looking down rarely work. This one shows the exception to the rule. Well done Johannes!
The circus of fishes. El Hierro, Canary Islands, Spain. I was impressed by the variety of fishes that I was seeing and this is the result. Olympus C5050.
File fish among the colorful coral on the Brac
Barracuda among bubbles. El Hierro, Canary Islands, Spain. We were diving in an open cave and back to the boat I saw bubbles filtering by the rocks. Then a barracuda passed. Olympus C5050
deep water gorgonians in Little San Salvador with Nikonos V and 15mm lens
these 2 bannerfish were perfectly in unison when I caught them with a 60mm lens
I took this image at Stingray City in Grand Cayman using a Nikonos V with a 20 mm lens. There were a dozen or more stingrays who made close approaches to each diver, so getting this close-up shot was very easy!
