Different color sea fans. Taken at a depth of about 40ft on a recent trip to Raja Ampat during Xmas 2024. Taken by a friend using an Olympus OM-D with 2 strobes.

Adult escorts are usually but not always related to the calf. An Aunt, sister, cousin, grandmother, or even its mother. They all look after the new one. (taken under permit)

A 1,5 cm small "friend". Took me ages to take at least one good pic of him, because he was swimming around all the time & looking to me like he say "don't you dare !!" ;-) CANON 40D, 60mm macro lens, IKELITE DS125
This happens, if you have your 60mm macro lens prepared for a photo dive : Always the big buddies are coming by, then ;-) Anyway: I hope, that's the right category - close up shot of a common sea turtle ( caretta caretta ).

Pygmy leatherjacket - shot taken last week at Shelley Beach, Manly, Sydney, Australia - these guys are tiny, about the size of a golf ball, and they don't stay still for very long either!!
