Smaller subjects typically 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 7.5cm) shot on macro settings or with macro equipment that are NOT MOVING usually on the bottom (i.e. between 1:1 and 1:3)
Goby. Picture taken on the second reef off Negombo, Sri Lanka.
This lizard fish allowed a very close approach during a night dive. I never realized how spectacular some of their features were until this shot.

Longnose hawkfish, at about 95 feet , it did take a lot of patience and a lot of Nitrox as well . Canon S70 with Macro Lens
There were three seahorses together. The orange one was very cooperative and I was able to get some nice shots. Canon 400D 100mm.
