shots taken using ambient light i.e. unlit by flash or continuous lighting like HID but filters on the lens are allowed if declared
Rays at Dawn. / A dawn snorkel at Sting Ray Sandbar is one of my favorites. The light is spectacular and adds to the ability to get great black and whites.
School of Jacks taken with a compact camera and a wide angle conversion lens while diving first time in Twin Rocks, Anilao. also my 1st UW photography trip. Slight current at that time.

Manta ray
"Motherly Love" As soon as we hit the water we expected this pair to shy away, instead they wanted to say hello! Mother and baby humpback in the Socorro Islands. Shot with a Canon 7D with a Tokina 10-17 with natural light.
Runner Up - worthy of note but not a medal winner - an equal 4th place if you like! Runner Up 2013

Fata Morgana
Would have loved to capture a manta breach but this ons was swimming 'belly-up' at to surface, which allowed me to rotate the image and create the illusion of a manta flight.
