Temperate rockpools are magical places
A large pod of Rough Tooth Dolphins passed by Mary island in the Solomons. For this image i shot from the surface with a 20mm wide angle as quite a few inquisitive individuals were checking us out.
Sweetlips, Indonesia 2005
Buford sink, It was a HIKE thru the swamp to get to this pristine sink hole not many get to dive. It was 5pm, and i snapped this at the end of the dive, it was a perfect silouette and you can even see the leaves on the trees the water is so clear.
Shark Temple
When I saw this reef shark swimming away from me I thought “it is time to turn off the strobe and wait until a nice composition”. The beautiful rocky shore helped a lot.
Canon EOS 300D, 17-40mm, Sa&Sea housing
Juvenile batfish, off Sangeang, Indonesia. (2005)
Snorkling in jellyfish Lake in Palau... millions and millions of (almost) stingless jellies...
Moon jellyfish are about the size of a basketball and safe to touch on the outer dome.
"Shadows Over The Sand" Spadefish sailing over the sand as we spent off nitrogen at Turneffe in Belize at the end of a dive. This photo was taken with a DC200 and no strobe in 2005.
This is a gorgeous striped triggerfish with a Blue-striped snapper. Taken in the Maldives whilst snorkelling.
Whale Shark. I was swimming along the wall and looked out to sea and there he was, right beside me! Shot with a Canon S400 digital camera with no flash (I set the custom white white balance).
The rare 'rainbow Napolean Wrasse'. Just kidding. These things are huge and quite shy. They can be pretty quick to so had to flip fast and keep the camera steady at the same time.
