Up close and personal! When approached, this Caribbean Reef Octopus reached out and grabbed the 1:3 framer on my Nikonos V, and pulled himself onto the camera. Made for a few easy shots though ;-)
Dotty-back close-up. I haven't got the faintest clue why these are called dottybacks - any ideas?
Another Goldentail (I think), they are very small when they stick their little head out of the coral.

Beautiful lionfish in Banka island... Canon 400D 60mm macro 2x inon strobes
Anemonefish - Relaxed encounter during SDI Solo Diver commencement dive, believe this one found me less threatening since I was not part of a herd of loud bubbly neoprene-clad scary things; may be rethinking whether to be afraid after being strobed.
This little guy looks like he has bright little stars all over his body.
'DEVILISH' Soft coral crab. I had to side light the little devil, cuz he blended to well when shot from the front and top. About half the size of the dime. Walindi, West New Britain, PNG. Enjoy!

Jellyfish up close. when you get close to a jellyfish, you can see its beuty. the downside is that you also often can feel something burning.
