CanadaKootenay lake had a lot of bardges hauling trains, cars equipment in the early 1900s. They were flat bardges pushed in pairs by the old paddle wheelers of that era. Ocassionaly they were lost. there is a report of three hobos( from the old days of jumping& riding trains) going down with the box cars. We have found one old shoe, and took pics, set it on top of a box car at 40'. The deepest box car sits on a steep angle from 93' back up to 46' on a ledge. Most of the box cars have thier load of coal still pouring out of them. There are 6 known box cars and 9 more left to find. There are several dive sites in this huge deep long lake including a car ferry which was in service from 1954 until 2004. It now sits at 180' to the bottom, the top is at 95'. There are boat rentals (big enough to sleep on)or services to get you out to the sites. There are also some shore dives here to be done. Low cost Motels are close by. There is a ex Navy Diver who lives n the area and hires out his boat to haul divers out. He needs some notice to plan the trip. Hit charges are good, his boat will handle 4 tech divers easily. Contact the info@albertaunderwatercouncil to find him. His first name is Blair.

United States Atlantic (North American coastal)This is a wonderful dive for aquatic life sightings. This is a SHALLOW dive and must be dove with the tides. Here you will find an array of fishes, rays, horseshoe crab, other crab species incl. arrow crab, LARGE cushion stars, and many other interesting finds. There are 3 small wrecks that I know of. You will park at the Phil Foster park - which is nice, they have bathrooms and showers. There is a shower next to the play ground, directly out from that shower you will find the first wreck, approx. a 30 - 35' cabin cruiser, straight on out further from it you will find an approx. 30 - 35' sail boat. There is another wreck to your left, but I haven't dove it yet. The wrecks are teaming with life and a pleasure to take pics. Please do use caution as this is in a boating area and on an inter coastal waterway. ENJOY!

Chile PacificIt's right off the beach at Punta de Tralca. It's cool green water typical of upwelling zones, so make sure to have a 6.5mm or thicker suit. Water temps in spring/summer rarely exceed 17C with 12-15 C being the norm. It's a very popular spot here with the spearfishers, so make sure not to look like a fish.

Spain Atlantic (European coastal)The vulcanic landscape of the island continues under the surface and in combination with white sand and great visibility gives spectacular bright landscapes. There are no corals in normal dive depths, but it is still possible to see much colour. Ideal for night dives, when many critters, hidden during the day, come out of their hides.
