Short Drop Off

   Palau  Pacific
Chambered Nautilus (Nautilus Pompilius) - Found 600 meters below sea level these creatures are trapped and brought up for divers to observe and photograph. They are released and sink back down the wall to their home. I'm not entirely sure where I stand on this however I do know they were quite a sight and a bit difficult to photograph as the swayed back and forth while sinking into the abyss.

Artificial reef with 70-foot average depth. Minimal current. Many other wrecks available from novice to technical. Area is well supported by dive shops and charter boats. Good Hotel/Motel accomadations available. Trailer parks nearby. Worth visiting more than once.
