Muck dive site with sandy bottom at depth of 24 metres. Current can be strong so it's best done on slack water. Visibility can be poor < 3 metres sometimes. Small soft corals can be found in the sand and these are shelter and home to seahorses, decorator crabs, octopuses (including Blue Ring) and porcelain crabs. Sea Temp in May 29c

This Shuttlecock Egg Cowrie_(Volva volva) is carnivorous and should normally be found on gorgonian sea fans, so it was odd to see it crawling on the sandy bottom. I wonder what protection it has from crabs or octopus...<0///<<....Canon G9
