Whoze in there
Trumpet Fish in cave, Flamingo Beach Bonaire
shortlistedShortlisted!
A banded Butterfly fish stopped swimming to check out my port...I think she saw her reflection in there.
Lettuce Leaf Sea Slug - the blue/green coloring is so very beautiful
Anemone Shrimp taken with my TG4 in Curacao
Pelagic Tunicate/I happened upon this strange, nearly translucent creature, called a Salp, during a safety stop while diving in the Caribbean. Luckily I was shooting macro with my Nikonos V, and always saved one frame, "just in case".
Overunder shot. A Brown Pelican is resting after a strike, floating on its dinner, a ball of frenetic bait fish. Camera: Canon 7D; EasyDive Leo2; no strobes.

Spotted Anemone Cleaner Shrimp

Bonaire
Startled (Peppermint) Goby
Sexy Shrimp peering out at me, as if to say "Peek a boo!"
Pikeblennie excited
The sailfin blennie male attract females by flashing his huge dorsal fin in a blink of an eye. An almost impossible job to get it in the picture.
Fingerprint shell
Bearded Fireworm
Baby Drumfish
Small frogfish fishing for dinner
"I told you you should have trimmed your lawn, Neighbour!" (Secretary Blennies, Bonaire)
It took me quite a few tries to get a good image of this spinyhead blenny.
Blenny face, Klein Bonaire
Juvenile trunkfish. Cute black and yellow marbles almost impossible to get in focus...at least for me.
This shot looks like a satellite orbiting a planet to me. Which is why I left the backscatter in, since it contributed to the feeling.
Christmas Tree Worms are my favorite subject. You have to be very stealthy to get in close to them. This is not cropped with only backscatter removed.

'From out of the dark...'
I spent some time waiting for this little speckled eel to come out far enough for a good image.
Tesselated Blenny (Hypsoblennius invemar)
