2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire.  This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away.  Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

One of my favorite characters from the sea, so elegant...
Making eye contact with your subject is essential.
Green turtle, Olympus 3040, SB 105 strobe.
A couple of Whitespotted Filefish in natural light. Canon A70 with URPRO Filter
A tiny (1 cm) juvenile Highhat. This is one of the toughest photos I've ever taken. I wasn't sure if it was a Highhat or a Spotted Drum, but Paul Humann ID'ed it for me. Nikon D200 with 60mm lens.

'BASKET STAR' Certainly one of our Coral Kindom's rather unusual and unique inhabitants. Totally nocturnal, highly light sensitive and extremely quick and mobile. I have seen animals with five foot appendages on several occasions. Enjoy!
