2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire.  This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away.  Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

A unexpected breach by a humpback in Sydney Harbour.
Malabar, Sydney
The leafy sea dragon can only be found on the southern coasts of Australia. They have the most gorgeous and intricate faces.

Mating dumpling squid. A very unusual find that was spectacular to watch.

We drove 14 hours straight to find the leafy sea dragon. It was worth every minute of the drive. They really are the most incredible fish. Watching them move so peacefully throughout their habitat is something I'll always remember.

A school of trevally revealed its self through the kelp. They circled and weaved through the forest. One of those magical encounters

Young whale shark - 4-5 meters on Ningaloo Reef. Canon digital Rebel, 10-22mm wide angle at 17mm, no strobes, f7.1, iso200, 1/100th, Sea & Sea housing.
Red-spotted blenny. I would get close, he would go inside - I'd move away, he'd come out -- for about 10 minutes until we were friends. Canon digital Rebel XTi, 60mm macro, YS-110 strobes, iso200, f10, 1/200sec.

A rare sighting of mating squid. These were photographed in the cold waters of Victoria, Australia. It was quite an aggressive display as the male (behind) bucked back and forth. It lasted for a minute.
