2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire. This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away. Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

Seastar with boat on Surface Bunaken Olympus 7070 with Wide angle and Inon D2000 Strobe.
What are you looking at?
Picture was taken at Raja Empat in May 2006.
"A bit shy", This Sea Horse was a bit reluctant to move out from its hiding spot at Lembeh Strait.
The FLY! Ok, it's really a Banded shrimp. D2x 105mm 2xtc woody's diopter.
Clown fish in Sulawesi
WHO KNOWS WHAT THIS IS!!!looks like a piece of coral, but it's not, picture taken at 12meter, and the "thing"was moving like a seastar. when i came closer it moved back into a small cave. it moved with the 4 "legs".
eye to eye with a two banded cleaner shrimp
Nudi Bali Indonesia Olympus 7070 twin Inon Strobes
I had 2 Inon macro lenses as well as en epoque lens on my Camera housing to take this picture of the face of a harlequin shrimp. I had to get real close to focus and not much depth of field.
These spine cheek anemone fish never want to sit still for the picture, they just move and move and my camera wouldn't focus on them. So I just focused on the anemone instead and waited for the fish to swim in front of my camera.
featherstars in the current
Nudi with eggs Lembeh Olympus 7070
A "Shocked" gobie on wire coral. D2x 105mm w/2xtc
This picture was taken close to Kakaban Island, off Sangalaki. As my stobe didn't work I tried to get on without it.
Pygmy seahorse in Lembeh 2003 hard enough to see these little critters even harder to take a photo of them.
Nudibranch tail, I love the colors of this picture. I was quite deep when I took the picture and was nearing deco time so I only got one shot, but I like the result.
As I got closer and closer to this cute little pufferfish I was amazed how tame it was. I'm used to fish swimming away as soon as I get close, but not this one. He really liked his picture being taken with my Olympus C-5050 camera and Inon strobe.
a very curious porcupine fish, i wasn't able to shoot apicture of the whole fish as it came so close checking out my camera.
