2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire. This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away. Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

Red Hind macro. I am fascinated by the eyes of fish. I particularly like "through the eye" shots. Note the strobe reflected in the eye.
This beautiful Green Moray swam freely along side me in Utila, at one point poking the dome port with his nose...taken with Olympus EXZ500 in a Ikelite housing with a DS 125 Strobe.
Perspective made this juvenile Hawksbill look a LOT bigger than the little guy he was...
A Barred Hamlet, another of my favorite little fish. Nikon D70 with 60mm lens.
This Eagle Ray was spooked by some of our divers and made a very sharp left-handed U-turn. I shot this just as he was finishing his turn. Canon SD550.
From Roatan, Bay Islands. Fuji F810.
This is a Sea Pearl. It is about an inch in diameter and is one of the largest single cell organisms on the planet
We swam with this big guy for almost an hour. He brushed up against me several times. It is believed he was hit by the ferry boat. You can see the scars on his back and a tear in the dorsal fin...Photo was taken with no strobe, Olympus 4040
Trunkfish in the sun. Canon SD550.
Hello in there! Curious squirrel fish checks out the lens, up close and personal. Back off Jack, yer foggin' da lens. D100 and 105 lens.
Hogfish with a freeloading Bar Jack (aka Skipjack). Nikon D70 with 60mm lens.
Whale shark & diver May 13, 2006 at Gladden Spit off Placencia, southern Belize. Ikelite-housed Olympus E-300, Olympus 14-45 lens, no strobe.
I found this Octo all alone on a night dive on Paradise Reef. Canon SD550.
Eyes of an Angel
Fire Bristleworm - Roatan, Honduras. Taken with an Olympus C-770.
Moray with gobies and a strawberry tunicate. From Roatan, Bay Islands. Fuji F810, S&S YS-90DX.
Shark nosed goby. The metallic blue of his sides would look really good on the paint job of a car. He was more than happy to pose and show it off.
Juvenile Red Hind, a member of the Grouper family.
Sillouette of my wife, Debra, returning to the T&C Aggressor after a photo dive. The see-through Force fins look kinda cool. The boat adds depth.
The amazing life in Dominica....
Pink tipped anemone seen whle snorkeling at Isla Mujderes this April. Taken with a Canon PoweShot SD 550 with natural light.
Banded Butterflyfish. Nikon D70 with 60mm lens.
The Mr. Bud. Roatan, Bay Islands. Fuji F810, Inon WAL, ambient light.

An interesting and intact small wreck Jennifer
Movin On! These Porkfish make there way across one of Cozumel's beautiful reefs. Photo was taken with a DC200 and single strobe. I used a 28mm wide angle lense as well. Thanks Roberto and Liquid Blue Divers.
Full-frame macro of a feather duster. The details visible in this shot make it easy to see where the name comes from. I was very pleased with the lighting and negative-space background on this one. D100 and 105 lens.
Slender filefish from Bonair. It was very shy. It took some time to wait until it swam away from soft corals to the sponge.
An extremely friendly turtle in Cozumel. Canon SD550.
