2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire. This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away. Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

Cave cleaner shrimp (Urocaridella sp.) hard to catch in a good position!
Green Turtle with a Resting Remora on it's back taken in the Southern Red Sea with a Canon 20D in an Ikelite Housing. The strobe didn't work, which I was quite pleased with after seeing the result using natural light.
Panning with a blue triggerfish, again using slow shutter speed and 2nd curtian flash.
Angel
Sea scorpion
Bit lucky as the light is caught through the body of this jellyfish.
nembrotha mating marsa shagra
Striped trigger - Red Sea shallows
Invasion of the Blue spine unicornfishes (Naso unicornis) at Shark reef, Ras mohammed
Lionfish with broken "ear"- one of those strange moments when you turn and he's approx 20cm from my mask. Canon EOS20D, 60MM Macro, AF, no flash, iso 400, 1/125th shutter...
Masked butterflyfish taken with E300 at Ras Umm Sid.
Crab approx 3mm big, night dive 15m fanadir, Hurghada. Canon EOS20D, Aquatica housing, 60MM Macro lens, autofocus set to single focus point, 18W HID (Salvo) as light source- Tiny crab was deep inside the coral- check the eye- very chuffed :-)
Schooling bannerfish(Heniochus diphreutes) dancing around the witchpot taken in Na'ama Bay.
Getting movement into the shot by using a slow shutter speed, panning along with the subject and by using 2nd curtian flash. Taken at Ras Umm Sid.
Anemone Hermit Crab (Dardanus tinctor) taken on a nightdive in Na'ama bay.
Final entry for 2007. Trumpetfish in B&W.
Stingray (approx. 1,20m) looking for food in Na'ama Bay
Thought this one looks better in b&w.
Just a lucky shot on a night dive!
Face to Face
Another sequence of a spanish dancer "dancing" - Rear view
"The Camel Reef", Cavern at El Quadim Bay, El Quseir, Olympus f/3.2, 1/80, ISO 200
Crown of Thorns. Taken in the shallow waters near Marsa Alam , Egypt
Napoleon wrasse -Cheilinus undulatus- taken at Shark & Yolanda reef.
Last entry for the year. Again an Oceanic. Unfortunately a couple of seconds before the boat behind the shark emptied its septic tank. Didn't want to photoshop it away.
