Different color sea fans. Taken at a depth of about 40ft on a recent trip to Raja Ampat during Xmas 2024. Taken by a friend using an Olympus OM-D with 2 strobes.

Adult escorts are usually but not always related to the calf. An Aunt, sister, cousin, grandmother, or even its mother. They all look after the new one. (taken under permit)

Juvenile Platax orbicularis prowling for jellyfish a few meters below the surface
... having reached the coral canyon, they finally found the wreck of the old treaasure ship ... at that moment they realised they were not alone ...
