2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire.  This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away.  Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

"Solitude". Sunset in the Orkney Islands in midsummer, after a fantastic day diving the WW1 wrecks in Scapa Flow. Shot taken on slide film and converted to digital.
The rabbit fish (Chimaera monstrosa) is common at depths ranging from 50 to 1000 meters. In the fjords of Norway it can be seen by divers as it migrate shallower at up to 10-30m meters. Fantastic animal!

Giant jellyfish with catch of two blue jellyfish
Diving off the Farne Islands UK 2006. Kelp and dead men's fingers cover most of the underwater topography in the area. EOS 20d, format RAW, +2 EV, Manual meter, 20mm Canon prime lens f2.8 USM, DS125 strobe, ikelite housing, 6inch dome port.
Wreck off East Coast of Yorkshire UK, Flamborough Head. A possibly world war one or two casualty, there are many in this area from Destroyers to U Boats. EOS 20d, RAW, DS125 strobe x 1, 8 inch dome port, tokina 10-17, Ikelite housing.

The ice has just got thick enough to make a hole in it, and dive under!
Dutch Nudibranchia are not so colorfull as the species from tropical waters. But I still like them. Goniodoris castanea with spawn.
Also our cold waters give fantastic colours, especialy the Dahlia, one of my favorites.
During a dive in may at Zuid Langeweg we where very surprised that there where so many Sea mouses (Aeolidia papillosa).
In may the black goby is laying eggs. Then they are much easyer to fotograph. This was a try out fot a Dutch photocontest. The picture was taken in the Grevelingenmeer, a closed sea arm of the Northsea.

This little Pogge was swimming on the surface at night. After seeing me it swam down. I got this shot with a 3 second exposure and rear-curtain sync flash. Canon G11, YS110.

This picture was taken in the early morning during a sailing trip, but there was no wind. This beautiful porpoise came along and followed the boat for at least half an hour.
I took this snorkelling in St Andrews this morning. F/8, 1/400th, ISO 80, Canon G11, canon housing, no lenses, s&s ys110, all on manual.
