Different color sea fans. Taken at a depth of about 40ft on a recent trip to Raja Ampat during Xmas 2024. Taken by a friend using an Olympus OM-D with 2 strobes.

The colors of many Chromodorididae nudis are always striking and these species of Goniobranchus called kuniei is no exception.There are delicate nuances of complementary shades that help make it one of a kind_Jan 2025

Adult escorts are usually but not always related to the calf. An Aunt, sister, cousin, grandmother, or even its mother. They all look after the new one. (taken under permit)

Barrine Eal, taken at Laken Barrine up in the tablelands west of cairns queensland. Visibility was around 7m, photo taken at 20m using Canon 7D, 2x lights, 24-105mm macro lens.
"waiting" and old Italian proverb says: "the patience is the virtue of the strong ones"... if this in true I would not like to have a frog-fish as enemy, I went diving 2 times in 2 different days and I found them exactly in the same position
