The sun had not broken the horizon on my way to go fishing in Loreto Bay, Baja, Mexico, when a group of three dolphins split off from a large group to ride our bow in mirror smooth water.

Eye of a Gray Whale.
This was shot in san Ignacio Lagoon, Baja. A female Gray Whale taking a close look at me.
I work as a naturalist in San Ignacio Lagoon Mexico. Whales come up to me each day as they know me.
Inspired by nearby competition, this male humpback put some serious power into this series of forward lunges. In 7 years of whale watching, I had never seen a lunge like this from this angle. Taken with a canon 350d and 70-300 lens.

While snorkeling in Isla Mujeres I spotted this Leopard Searobin. His picture was taken with a Canon PowerShot SD 550.
