2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire. This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away. Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

Squat Shrimp next to an anemone - just happen to be a whole bunch of them
The illusive Splendid Toadfish common to Cozumel, comes out to play - well, sorta. Toadfish don't come "out" very well!

Beautiful Tulum Beach in the Yucatan - Pelicans fished throughout the day but were seen most frequently in the hour before sunset. The size of the birds makes them relatively easy to photograph, although fading light makes it harder to "freeze" them

I had to block off this attack with my dome port, but luckily at least got the close up shot. Taken in La Paz with Nikon D70
