2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire.  This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away.  Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

One of only 2 spider crabs in South African waters.It derives its name from the red markings around its mouth

It has a colorful but tough tunic- hence the name Tunicates
The rare walking sea-anemone is unique to both sides of the Cape Peninsula. Only one other member of the family occurs in the Antartic and Chile. Their favoured food is the multicolored sea fan

The Cape Gannet" - A B&W rendition of one of my favourite sardine run images taken off shore of the wild coast, Transkei, Port St. Johns, South Africa. The Cape Gannet is truly an amazing bird and has adapted to its ocean life like no other.
