Seahorse with Backlighting. Finally found one in the right position in the right surroundings for this type of shot, unfortunately alot of sediment in the water, so had to remove a fair amount of backscatter after the dive.

Big Eyed Squat Lobster. We had a lot of fun watching these little guys looking for better dwellings around the coral, as always the biggest one gets the best hole. This one is about 10mm long (5mm between claws). S-95 + stacked 165's.

Pink Anenomefish slipping in and out of their home on a wall off Bunaken Island, Sulawesi.
An "over the shoulder shot" of a humped halgerda. Tweaked in photoshop to get the result i was after.
This IS a crab. A very well disguised decorator crab holding on to a peice of coral. I was checking out a nudi just above this bit of coral that MOVED. Never ceases to amaze me what we find in the sea. smile
Melibe Fimbriata taking a swim (nothing to do with me). first time i've seen a nudi swimming smile
I only got one shot of this Banded Boxer Shrimp with eggs. Original photo showed both claws (just) but i think this crop brings out the egss and the hairy arms slightly better. S-95 plus stacked 165's.
Checking on the eggs. A type of Chomodoris? Anyone know? Found at Bunaken Island, Sulawesi. S-95 + UCL 165.
Humped Halgerda shot with home made snoot on a night dive close to the Dunraven, Egypt.

Painted frogfish perched for a days hunting. I'm always looking for red or yellow things to take photos of. Very pleased with this frogfish's choice of spot. S-95 and Inon Strobe.
Orangutan Crab. These are hard to focus on, so hairy! Luckily we saw them alot in Lembeh so i could try out different ideas to get a shot i liked. This is my favourite. Canon S-95, Inon Strobe, UCL 165 x 2. No Cropping smile
Common but still beautiful, Risbecia Tryoni. smile
Alien Swine Flu!
The Sand has eyes! A juvenile crocodile fish hiding in the sand below a rock outcrop.
Yellow! Hippocampus Bargibanti on a Gorgonian Coral (Muricella Paraplectana) Been looking for one of these little guys for a while! Also glad the Polyps are open. Canon S-95 with stacked 165's.
Hide and seek with a male Arabian Boxfish.
I'm always happiest bimbling over the bottom searching for something interesting... a common seahorse found in the Perhentian Islands at 20m.
Think i might skip the second dive....
Before our dive i had to wait for a friendly 'blessing'...
Very small Frogfish (1 inch) wedging itself in a tube sponge.
Six-striped Soapfish: "Did you see England vs Algeria?"
Blacktip Grouoper: YAWN.....
Thankyou little blennie for finally popping up (and smiling). G10
+ UCL 165 + a little patience...
I've always liked the way goat fish use their barbels to find prey. This one had his permanently out as if he was resting his head on them and let me come in unusually close.
These common pipefish usually turn away when you get close enough to take a shot but this one was quite inquisitive smile Canon G10 + UCL 165
Anemone Fish patrolling his home and red sea reef backdrop. Canon G10 + Inon strobe.
