2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire.  This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away.  Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

Such luck to spend time with an octopus.
Reef Octopus
Caribbean Reef Octopus. Large enough to return my curiosity without fear - he hung around for 20 minutes, possibly sharing my excitement... St. Georges, Grenada.
The most beautiful sunset I ever saw on the beach of the Rex Grenadian overlooking the site of the Bianca C shipwreck..!!
the image is of a small moray eel that I found by the side of the ship wreck the Veronica L on the Carribean side of Grenada.
The photo was taken in May 2009.
Under the ledge and was so focused on him that did not see spiney lobster just off the right

A little fire and brimstone for Halloween. The effect was produced using a Sealife macro lens and external flash, and was completely unexpected, and have never been able to reproduce it since. This guy was found on haul of he Shakem at about 90ft.

White Spotted File Fish. One of my favorite things to see on Shark Reef. There are at least 2 mating pairs that inhabit the reef.
